Opening IKEA Malmö

In the fall of 2009 Dreambag was in total charge of the comprehensive opening ceremony IKEAs customers could take part of. To name just a few of the areas we were responsible for:

- Idea and concept development
- Project Management
- Equipment
- Entertainment
- Coordination and realization

In total Dreambag engaged 160 people during the 12 opening days. The entertainment consisted of 5 stages and ambulate elements like choirs and troubadours performing around the department store. A much appreciated part was our self produced talk show with Swedish decorating icons Ernst Kirshsteiger, Jon Eliason and Lulu Carter. Some of the entertainers present were Pauline, Ola and Simsoak.

Naturally should the "World’s greenest IKEA" have a suitable instigation with our bicycle taxis helping visitors from the train station and also other stores in the commerce area to get to IKEA. For cyclists our bicycle mechanics were available to without any cost for IKEAs patrons do some maintenances work so that when it was time to ride home their bikes were in great condition.

The world’s second largest IKEA department store is officially opened with a ceremony that matches its size, to the enjoyment of the whole Öresundregion.
